| Border of the North
This is the border of the North Land. This is where anyone that wants be accepted will go. The land is all snow, like the main land of the north. The border is marked by a long, long row of pine trees. The trees were planted by the gods of the horses, they knew that the North would need them one day. There is a frozen stream that runs beside the trees, it goes all the way to the ocean, so far away. The river is only frozen at the top, the bottom is running. If you wish to join this land, call loudly for the leader of the North.

| Land of the North
The land of the North is a cold, cold place. All of the horses here have thick coats and stay near the mountains. The mountains are in the middle of the land. Inside the base of the mountains there are large caves that go deep into the mountain. They are warm and they have streams inside that flow all the time. Near the entrance to all of the caves is an area of grass, thin grass. Around the mountains there is nothing but ice and snow. It is a bare land. There are no trees and nothing to keep the wind away. So the herd stays in the mountain’s caves, unless the colts wish to run and play in the snow.
This herd is a light herd. Keeping with the South.

| Border of the South
The South Border is huge and clean. The long flowing river keeps the non-members away until the leader of the South comes and lets the others across. All around the edges of the river is sand, white wonderful sand. Then grass. Green grass that is lush and tall. In the middle of the river is a long bridge that leads to the other side. But there is a deer that stands guard and doesn’t let any one across the bridge until the leader comes. If you wish to join this land, call loudly for the leader of the South.

| Land of the South
The South is a wonderful lush land. There are forest and tons of open plains to run in. The river that is the border runs into a large lake that is in the middle of the land. Around the land is the beach where the foals play. Near the lake there is a forest that the herd sleeps in. It is thick enough to keep wolves and others out, but thin enough to see the wonderful stars. Off in the distance there are mountains, but none go there for the elders say there is something that lives up there. South is teamed up with the North, they are light also.

The Border of the East is like none of the others. There is nothing there except sand. The lush grass turns into sand and then the sand goes on for miles and miles. There is a sand fox that guards the border, making sure no horses get through with out the leader’s permission.

| Land of the East
The Land of the East is hot and never ending. There is a spot in the middle of the land that has the only shade and water. There are palm trees that go all the way around the lake, as well as grass. This is the place where the herd lives. It is a lot bigger than what some think it is. But compared to the never ending sand, it is very small. The sun is very hot during the day and in the night, it is very cold. The water gets very, very cold and none go near it at night. So the land here is harsh and it makes the horses here mean. The East is dark, and they go with the West.

The border of the West is lonely. It is an old ghost town with no one living in it. The only thing that stands out in the old town is the cemetery. The leader has placed a wolf there to guard the land. He makes sure no unwelcome horses come in until the leader has come. There is a small pond there the town’s people used to fish, but now there are no fish and everything looks dead. Even the trees. If you wish to join this land, call loudly for the leader of the West.

| Land of the West
The land of the West is beautiful, even though the horses that live there are mean, but only to the other lands, except East. The land has tons of plains where the horses can just run. There are rivers and streams that go through out the land and the mountains are large near their land. The land is never hot, but cool. There are trees around, but not to many. The grass is wonderful and it is tall, hiding the young foals.
